WHAT DO YOU KNOW...
BUT HAVEN'T REALLY SEEN?

"You can come to understand your purpose in life by slowing down and feeling your heart's desires."

-- Marcia Wieder

Hi Patrice,

Entrepreneur Steve Little has promised to walk me through the steps to identify my perfect business and he's doing a great job so far. In his online theperfectbizfinder program, he argues for the need to know our purpose in life. He says, "Once you have your purpose you are empowered to imbue any activity you take on with meaning and significance."

When I got to the step of actually writing out my purpose statement, I was startled to see that it mirrors a mantra I created in the mid-1990s that I have been chanting to myself on and off ever since.

DUH! Clearly, my purpose statement wasn't any great surprise to me if I've been focusing on it for 15 years. But somehow, I had not truly SEEN the importance and power of this theme in my life. I have been so convinced that I didn't yet have the big answer that I didn't realize it was there all along!

When we're focused on wanting something to be different (a future orientation), we are not open to appreciate all that we already are and have now.

If you have any sense of being lost or unclear, I invite you to look inside more closely. What do you know in your heart of hearts is most important to you that you haven't yet truly acknowledged? Is it time to give that focus your top priority? If not now, when?

~ Patrice

"There is not something you're supposed to do. There's not something that you should do. There is only that which you are inspired to do."
