Hi Patrice,

Last week, I did something I have always been absolutely terrified of doing: I was interviewed on TV.

Let me be clear: it was a very, very short interview on a topic I love and it was taped, not live. I KNOW this was no big deal. Many of you face exponentially more challenging events every single day. Nonetheless, fear is not rational and this was HUGE for me.

What unfolded on the day of the taping is, to my mind, nothing short of a miracle. All day, I was more present, more engaged, more confident and relaxed than I have ever been in my entire life. I actually enjoyed the whole experience. How was this possible???

I believe it was Grace. My Guardian Angel must have bestowed upon me this one heavenly day of living from wholeness. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I really want to share with you the gift of that experience. It was obvious to me that I was not given anything new. The blessing came from what was NOT there. Self-sabotaging thoughts, worry, doubt and fear were completely gone.

Without those paralyzing 'you're not good enough and you're going to screw up' rants racing through my mind, my essential self was able to shine through and it proved itself fully capable. It was easy and even fun to express myself!

Can you imagine living life this way? I can now! Once we experience a new way of being, we know we can do it again. Believe me, this is my new performance standard.

From my own growth over this past year, I can assure you that all the qualities we want for our lives -- like love, power, wisdom and joy -- already exist within us. We simply need to become aware of them and allow them to express. We do this by learning to be present so we can monitor our thinking and consciously choose what we most want for ourselves -- over and over again.

The more we invite in and experience the qualities we want, the more doubts and fears are no longer present. They simply evaporate. I think my fear was so intense over this TV interview because it represented a core, long-standing issue that has haunted me all my life. Well, no more!
