“Women need a place to just
be and become. A place where there is nothing to prove. A place
where things are quieter and where there is an opportunity to
listen, to oneself and others, intently.”
-- Robin Deen Carnes
and Sally Craig
What are women’s circles?
They are more than just a gathering of women. We mean ‘circle’
literally. When we meet, we sit in a circle and follow specific
guidelines that invite everyone present to go deeply into her
experiences.
When the intention for the
circle is understood by all, and the members bring respect and
willingness to explore the process, the circle bestows
blessings. If you haven’t yet experienced the powers of a
circle, please do!
“As we say to each other who
we are, what we have felt and feared, what we have dared, where
we have been and where we are going, we learn to define
ourselves from the inside out. In this process of revealing
ourselves, we learn the art of creating ourselves.”
