SHARING OUR STORIES

"If you are really thankful, what do you do? You share."

-- -- W. Clement Stone

Hi Friends,

Just a short time ago, I was bemoaning the fact that I hadn't received contributions of personal stories for 'women at heart' for a long time. So what happened? Three of them arrived in my inbox! Ask and you shall receive.

Her book offers powerful insights into the role the brain plays in how we experience life. It's a fascinating read but today, I want to focus on the big picture of the purpose of her life.

This week, I offer you riches of individual perspectives:

Andrea Steen shares the empowerment that comes with independence in her story, Livin' la Vida Solo.

Kathie Sutherland writes of the blessings of choosing not to run from our fears in Running Free.

Whitefeather honours herself with a Croning ceremony on her 50th birthday.

Grab a cup of something delicious and sink into the wisdom and creativity arising from these three different life journeys.

~ Patrice

"...to make sense of our experience by creating a story is an essential human characteristic, and whatever story we tell at a given time reflects our level of consciousness. At one point we may tell a story of victimhood or revenge, and later one of compassion and empowerment. It is the exercise, moment to moment, of free will, of doggedly looking for beauty, joy, and possibility, that offers us the greatest hope for generating stories that will contain the creativity and inspiration we need to solve otherwise insurmountable challenges."
