RELAX INTO SERVICE

"If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?"

-- -- Unknown source

Hi Patrice,

Those of us who are deeply committed to personal and planetary evolution can get ourselves into knots around knowing our purpose in life, how we are 'supposed to serve.' Well, we can know one thing with absolute certainty: if we are in knots about how to serve, we aren't serving!

We are also not in service if we are critical of our abilities and how much (or how little) we are offering. And it's never helpful to compare ourselves with others.

Jeddah Mali teaches that service is a head-less act. We serve when we are whole-heartedly engaged with whatever we are doing, when life naturally and easily flows through us. We serve when we allow the natural urges within us to be translated into thoughts, words and actions.

Jeddah says, "It doesn't matter what job we have or where we are in life; our being can be the vehicle of service. Maybe that is why it is called 'being - in service!'"

~ Patrice

"Every time we say, 'I love this being,' this is the pinnacle of service because it showers all of existence in that blissful union and recognition. You can't help be in service when you really love life by loving being. Then everything else will unfold."

-- Jeddah Mali

"To serve is beautiful, but only if it is done with joy and a whole heart."

-- Pearl S. Buck
