GRIEF & LOSS OF A CHILD

“There is no cure for grief and loss of a child, There Is Remission.”

-- C. Bella Kennedy

People call me a seasoned bereaved mother. This sounds like a piece of meat that’s been tenderized. Basically the analogy is similar. Traveling through the valley of the death of our children, over time we reach the reality check point. Time can’t bring our children back.

In time, we begin to mellow and find internal peace in the after glow of their spirits. Through the silent Hell-A-Days without our children, we’ve learned to celebrate love and live again.

Society doesn’t understand the death of a child. It alters our lives forever. The old cliché “Get over it” -- this is my child. You try and get over the loss of your child… You can’t!

Although given enough time to grieve the tragic loss of my child, I’ve discovered that death does not consume every moment of the day forever.

~ C. Bella Kennedy

“She was no longer wrestling with the grief, but could sit down with it as a lasting companion and make it a sharer in her thoughts.”

-- George Eliot
