BOLD, CREATIVE PLAY!
“If life doesn't offer a game worth
playing, then invent a new one.”
-- Anthony J. D'Angelo
Jenny Ward
has come up with a list of 101 ways to play, and just reading it
sparks my sense of delightful possibilities! Here are a few of
her ideas – for her complete list, please see Jenny’s story.
Wear
glitter underneath your clothes.
Do cartwheels outside.
Climb up the slide at the playground.
Turn the volume of your “to do list” in your head...DOWN.
Turn the volume of your heart UP.
Put marshmallows in everything you eat for one day.
Write your name in your food with your fingers.
Mow the lawn in fun patterns.
Watch a football game and imitate each touchdown dance.
“To a young heart everything is fun.”
-- Charles Dickens
“We don't stop playing because we grow old;
we grow old because we stop playing.”
-- George Bernard Shaw |
