“How might your life have
been different if there had been a place for you? A place for
you to go … a place of women, to help you learn the ways of
woman … a place where you were nurtured from an ancient flow
sustaining you and steadying you as you sought to become
yourself. A place of women to help you find and trust the
ancient flow already there within yourself … waiting to be
released…”
-- Judith Duerk
A haven. A sanctuary. A
temple. These words describe my different women’s circles. I
heartily encourage every woman to find or create a circle for
herself. We learn so much about ourselves when we are immersed
in a safe and accepting environment.
"Community. Somewhere, there
are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the
words catch in our throats. Somewhere a circle of hands will
open to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will
celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power. Community
means strength that joins our strength to do the work that needs
to be done. Arms to hold us when we falter. A circle of healing.
A circle of friends. Someplace where we can be free."
