“You need circles of
community to sustain your continual growth... and they must be
of your choosing and your building.”
-- Paula P. Brownlee
Every Monday, I meet with
one of my circles. We come together and ask for something that
we need or want in our lives, based on the belief that the
divine is in each of us, as in everything and everyone else, and
that we can manifest what we need or want with divine support
and guidance. We are committed to supporting each other’s
requests through a daily meditation in the week that follows.
I love this circle so much
because it answers many of my needs: It allows me to maintain a
spiritual practice through the daily meditation in which I
affirm each of our requests. It keeps me connected with the
divine since the foundation of our circle is the belief that we
“co-create” with the divine. It allows me to give, by supporting
each of our intentions, and to receive, by welcoming the support
that I get from the other women. It shows me that I am not alone
by connecting every day with this community of like-minded
women. It shows me that I have the power to create what I want
in my life. It shows me that Life supports and guides me. It
shows me that I belong.

“We do not believe in
ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is
valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our
touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity,
wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the
human spirit.”
