I feel blessed with being more and more aware of beauty in all aspects of life, and so I was intrigued with the insights Annett E. Bank shared with me regarding her art. I'm pleased to share them with you.

Combining Power with Gentleness & Strength with Feminine Beauty

Thinking about why I started becoming an artist made me realize that I always wanted to be just like the women in my current paintings: fearless, strong, beautiful and free. I'd like my female audience to look at the paintings and feel inspired to live an authentic life that is feminine and gracious, yet autonomous and independent.

I also wanted to communicate something every woman should be able to relate to, i.e. the sometimes contradictory feelings of being pressured to be attractive yet remain at ease within yourself; being pregnant yet sensual and alluring to men; and being desirable yet humble and compassionate.

I think my work is indeed all about the empowered figure -- female as well as male. My art is concerned with embracing our sensuality in every moment and loving our bodies without judgement, blame or criticism. We want to treat them well and make them the best they can be!

I believe there is nothing more worthwhile to do than fixing our spirit. Bless All. Love All.
