A Healing

At any moment in time what we see outside of us reflects our internal field of consciousness.

This morning I became aware of a young Honey Eater calling out. I had been aware of this Honey Eater for several months now. I had observed that it had a call that was different to its family. I had also observed that it had not been accepted by its family and that it lived all alone, because of its differentiation in its call and so it was not welcome (or recognized).

I had pondered on this each time I had heard him calling out as he seemed to do it unceasingly, and then he would fly off out of ear shot and I would not see him for a couple of days. Today when he arrived and began to call out it startled me to find I felt an empathy with this small feathered friend and tears began to flow and I thought what is this? What is this all about?

And then it became clear to me that I had been this little Bird. I had a different call to my own family. I had not felt accepted either. It wasn’t popular to be spiritual in my family, and although I knew that I was loved to the best of all their abilities, this spirituality could not be understood. And so like the little bird I had to lead a separate existence.

The good news is that for myself, I have much to be grateful for in following my own dream and not what was expected of me from my family. I am becoming to know my true self and this little bird has had a part to play in allowing me to be freed of the pain (that up until now) I had buried deep inside of me.

I am finding that the Universe uses whatever is at hand if we are paying attention, and have our hearts open. I honor this little Honey Eater and I trust it has a happy ending like my own. I may never hear or see it again, because maybe it was the Universe’s way of gaining my attention to let go of this hurt. Well, it worked and it worked well. My thanks and gratefulness to the Universe and also to my feathered friend.

I am excited to think that all things can be possible. I am seeing more and more of the possibilities of healing in whatever is at hand. If we but trust the Universe in the knowledge that the existence of God, spirit, or that which we call Truth is in everything, and that “All is Good,” all has its life in truth, and if we are able to be alert to this, then anything can be used as a healing tool.
